Characters-
Kristen is a Harvard graduate and a wealth manager. She has traveled to South Africa for a meeting to get the business of Vincent Sorenson. Kristen is smart but at the same time indecisive. She jumps to a lot of conclusions before getting the story.  Kristen definitely has some secrets that she wants to keep.

Vincent is a self made billionaire. He is also full of tattoos and has some piercing, which we find out early on. Vincent is the go getter type. When he wants something he will everything to get it. He is very charming and relentless, as well as a thrill seeker.

Overall-
This story was very short. I didn't feel that connected to the main character, and Kristen kind of annoyed me. She starts off saying "no we can't do this" and the next second they're all on each other. It just felt so rushed, that I couldn't really feel a connection. 

Like I said, this story was very short, but it did end on somewhat of a cliff hanger which made me begin the second story. I plan to read the last book just to see what happens.

This is the first book following Hunter and Lorrie in the Forever Series by Priscilla West. She has a few other books in this series, however they follow different characters. This is my first read by Priscilla West, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed it.

This book follows Lorrie who returns back to school after taking a few semesters off after some life changing things occur in her life. She wants to focus on school and getting back to normal, but that all changes as soon as she meets Hunter Jensen. Hunter "The Hammer" Jensen is a senior at the college and just so happens to be a cage fighter as well. As soon as they meet, they change each other for the good and bad.

Characters
Lorrie was both a very likeable and hate-able character. I loved her in moments, and got so angry with her at other times. She kept pushing Hunter away saying she didn't have feeling for him, but got angry to hear or see him with another woman. Make up your mind girl!

Hunter, I really loved. Yes, he had his problems and you can see that, but he also tried to be normal and go after what he wanted. He didn't push her away. I also loved the fact that he was an Cage Fighter. I found that to be really interesting(and if I'm being completely honest, really hot! Oh and I can't forgot about the tattoos!) However, I do wish we got see more of the Cage Fighting.

Gary and Daniela were the main side characters in this story and I really loved them both. Daniela looks out for Lorrie, and Gary looks out for Hunter. Daniela wants to help get Lorrie back to a normal life and makes sure she goes to parties, and dates, and has fun! However, she doesn't push her. Gary is the only one(besides Ada) to know about Hunters troubles, and as much as he likes Lorrie, he's not afraid to tell her the truth and look out for Hunter. I really liked that.

Story
Overall the story felt like your typical romance story, but I couldn't stop reading. I was really invested in the story, the characters, and just finding out how it all plays out. I most definitely want to read the next one to see what the hell happens.

So this review is a bit different from my typical reviews because it's a different kind of book. This is a hide-and-seek book with MoMo.(Think "Where's Waldo"). I absolutely adore this book, from the amazing photos, to trying to find Momo in all the different spots. It's such an adorable book and great to pass time. I personally think kids will love this. It will definitely keep them entertained for a bit. I even had my mom try this out and she absolutely loved it. Although she did have trouble finding Momo in a few and started yelling at it. I couldn't help but crack up! 

I definitely think everyone should pick this book up. Whether your a child or and adult, 10 or 70, you'll have a lot of fun trying to find Momo and you will find yourself smiling at all the photos of him!

Book Review- If I Stay

What I Loved-
1) The Story! I absolutely loved the storyline for this story. It was heartbreakingly beautiful and I found myself very intrigued. This deals with life, family, first love, music, and choices. It had a very powerful message in quite a rather short story.

2) Now and then Perspectives! This story is written in Mia's point of view. However it's her point of view in the present and in the past. It switches throughout the book. I found it to be very interesting. I know that some people didn't like this part of the story, however I found myself really enjoying it. And personally, I felt as though it fit the story very well.

3) The Characters! I found myself enjoying the characters immensely. They were all great to read about. I absolutely loved her parents. I thought they were so awesome. As well as the friendship between Mia and Kim.

What I Didn't Love 
1) The Ending! Now this is not to say that I hated the ending. Honeslty, I was quite enjoying it until the last page. Personally, I felt as though this book could have been fine as a stand alone. All it really need was a few more pages, possible a chapter, and I feel as though this story could have wrapped up perfectly. 

2) The Romance! Overall, I enjoyed the romance between Mia and Adam. I thought, that for the most part, they were great together. What annoyed me though, was at times, I felt as though I really didn't feel the connection between them. I would be reading and the connection would be there, and then all of a sudden I wouldn't feel it anymore. It was a bit frustrating.

What I Loved-
1) The Storyline! I loved how this story with the topic of sex. This was one of the main focuses of the story. I think that this was great to read about, especially if you're a younger girl. It kind of focuses on the reality of sex. 

2) Girl Power! This was absolutely great to read about. I loved how they all stood together and were able to talk about sex with each other. How some of them felt as though they should be having sex because that was the "normal" thing to do for girls there age. How some felt they were weird because they didn't enjoy it. I really enjoyed how they could just open up to one another-although I do admit that it took some time- but it was great to read about. This is how it should be.

3) The Best Friend! Chloe was absolutely amazing! She was such a fun character to read about. I think what I loved most about her was the fact that she was never afraid to speak her mind. She always told it like it was and it was great to read about.

What I Didn't Love 
1) The Main Character! Lissa, the main character in this story, was someone I really didnt feel a connection with. Every time she spoke or said something I kind of wanted to put the book down. Of course I didn't though. To be honest, I felt as though she was really annoying. She was always complaining, whining, and known to make stupid choices. 

2) The Romance! Now this is not to say that I didn't love Cash as a character, or that I absolutely hated Cash and Lissa together. I really did enjoy them as a couple, at least for the few seconds we saw them together. I just wish we got to see more of them in an actual relationship. I really think that would have made me feel a connection with the relationship better. Oh well.

Book Review- The Hobbit

What can I say about this book.

Lets first start out with my first time reading this book, or more appropriately, TRIED to read this book. I read the first 10 or 15 pages and couldn't get into it. It wasn't what I thought and so I decided to not read it. The whole point of me picking up this book 2 years ago was because of the movie. Since I couldn't get into the book I figured I wouldn't like the movie either so I never went and saw the movie. FINALLY after two years, I decided on a whim to just watch the movie, and I'm SO GLAD I DID! I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with the two movies that were out and I needed more so I decided to finally watch The Lord of the Rings movies. And when that was over, I still needed more. So I decided to pick up The Hobbit again and I was SOOO glad that I did! This time I was able to get through it because I understood what I was getting into. Enjoy rambling on, lets get to this review!

What I Loved-

1) The Dwarves Barging in. This happens right in the beginning of the book and I just found it absolutely hysterical. It was enjoyable to read.

2) The Songs! In the movie they're not that many songs sung, however in the books they're quite a few and they're very enjoyable, and some were hilarious! 

3) More Detail! This book(obviously) had so much more detail than the movies. I mean some where just small moments, but I feel as though the those small details made the book so much better.

4) The Humor! This book was quite funny, which was surprising because I really didn't expect it to be. A lot of people get called fat in this book.

5) The Characters! They were all so enjoyable. And in case you're wondering I will name all the dwarves for you! -->Thorin, Fili, Kili, Balin, Dwalin, Oin, Gloin, Ori, Dori, Nori, Bifu, Bofur, Bombur <-- And then of course, Gandalf and Bilbo!


What I Didn't Love
1) There really isn't anything that I absolutely hated about this story. However, if I had to change one thing about it, it would be the action. As fun and enjoyable as this story is, I feel as if the action kind of fell flat. Another thing was that when the action was getting exciting, Biblo would get knocked out and we would miss it.

What I Loved
1) I loved the fact that this was such a quick read. I was able to finish it in half a day.

2) I really enjoyed the duo perspective throughout this story. Reading from both Sophias and Dereks point of view definitely gives you a better understanding for the characters.

3) The idea of this taking place on an island is definitely intriguing.

4) Derek. I'm very interested in him.

What I Didn't Love
1) Character wise, they definitely felt to underdeveloped. However, with this story being so short, it's definitely to be expected.

2) The relationship between Sophia and Derek felt way to rushed. It was definitely insta-love. The feelings that Derek felt for Sophia did seem a bit obsessive.

3) Throughout this whole story, you know that this girl is kidnapped, but yet it seems as if she doesn't seem to care. I mean, yes she does try to escape, but afterwards she falls for Derek. It just seems like she doesn't care anymore. I know it has to do with her feelings for Derek, but I just feel as though she needs to keep in mind that she has been KIDNAPPED!!

Overall I enjoyed this story but I'm really not sure if I want to continue on with story anytime soon. I am interested to see what happens but I have a lot more stories that I'm interested in getting to than the rest of this series.

What I Loved-
1) I loved the fact that this book didn't just deal with Witches and Warlocks, but faeries, werewolves, shifters, vampires, and even ghosts.

2) The characters were a lot of fun to read about. Sophie Mercer is very sarcastic and funny, two qualities I love in my characters! Jenna is hilarious as well and she was a lot of fun to read about.

3) I found the magic in this book to be a lot of fun. I mean from Sophie turning a stone into a couch, to having the headmaster put spells in her office to make people see what they want to see, and to conjuring ball gowns (which I admit was my favorite.)

4) The Groundskeeper CAL!! From the first time we met him, I LOVED him. If anything, he would be the reason for me to push the second book up on my list!!

What I Didn't Love
1) As much as I enjoyed reading this story, I didn't really feel a connection to the characters as much as I would have hoped. I mean I like them and they're fun to read about, but honestly if any of them died, I wouldn't really mind. At least from the first book. However, that might change as I continue on.

2) As much of a fun read as this book was, the story definitely felt predictable to me. I could tell what was going to happen, who was going to be the romantic interest, as well as who the guy was going to be in the love triangle.

Book Review- Tic Tac Tome

This is like a "choose-your-own-adventure" book dealing with Tic-Tac-Toe. The first thing I want to say, is that this is insanely difficult to win. Why you may ask? Well, because there is only one way to win. Yes, you read that right. One! This book is very addiciting because I kept finding myself losing or coming to a draw, and going back to the beginning so I can find that one way to win.

You can either start first or let the book go first by turning the book upside down and flipping it over. This book is fun and very addicting, and would be great for car rides. I even let my friendtry it out and she got frustrated and addicted with it as well. She wanted that win! Overall, I would recommend this book, especially to take on a vacation or a car ride.

What I Loved
1) The Writing. The writing in this story was so well done. It flowed so smoothly and everything fit together perfectly.

2) The Characters. I felt an instant connection with the two main characters, as well as the secondary characters. I feel in love with Jacqueline and Lucas, as well as Erin and Benji who supplied some much needed comic relief. Obviously both the main characters had there flaws and problems they have yet to deal with, but that is why I feel in love with them. Because they were so REAL! 

3) The Story. This story deals with a very tough subject and I absolutely loved how Tammara Webber went about dealing with it. From the attack, to Jacqueline not wanting to tell anyone in fear of getting her friends at the party in trouble. From not telling her parents because she didn't think they would understand and didn't want to hear an "I told you so", to keeping the attack a secret from her best friend in fear that she might blame her. The way that Tammara Webber went about telling this story was truly amazing and so real.

4) ERIN!! The best friend, and a truly amazing friend to have! I love how in the beginning Jacqueline was so afraid to tell her best friend about the attack because she was afraid she would blame her, but when she finally got the courage to tell her, Erin was there for her, no questions asked. I loved that, because even though I've never been in this situation, I would have to say this type of thing happens a lot(people getting the blame put on themselves for it) and that definitely plays a big reason in why people don't report attacks.

I love how Erin was there for her, signing them both up for Self Defense classes, and even dumping her boyfriend who didn't believe that his best friend could be a monster. Which had me asking myself this question. If that was me could I believe my best friend could do something like that? Could be a monster? I mean would anyone want to believe that there best friend could be capable of doing something like that?

What I Didn't Love
1) This isn't a big issue, just something that I wanted to address. The fact that Jacqueline went so far as to asking her professor about Lucas. I understand why she did it, I just think she should have waited for him to tell her instead of pushing the issue with others. I do believe that if she did wait, he would have told her, it just would have been at his own time.

What I liked-
1) Dimitri! Yes, of course I have to mention Dimitri! I just love him. He's an awesome, badass character, who I look forward to reading about.   

2) Adrian! That's right! We meet Adrian in this book and I'm so thankful for that. I'm really excited to get to know more about him and more of what he's capable of doing.

3) The Ending! Oh lord, how amazing was the ending. Unlike the first book, the climax of the book was absolutely amazing. I mean the whole time I was wondering what the hell was going to happen. And I absolutely loved how it got pieced together!

4) Rose and Lissa's Bond! This is something that I really enjoyed in the first book, and it was even better in the second. I mean, not only does she get the feelings from Lissa, but now she can literally be transferred into her head and see/feel everything that Lissa can. I mean, how crazy is that? And I don't just mean crazy in an "unbelievable" type of way, but also crazy as in that would drive any person insane to be able to do that!

5) Janine Hathaway! We finally meet Rose's mom! The relationship between Rose and Janine is extremely intense, but addicting to read about and truly added a lot to the story. They have a strained mother-daughter relationship because Janine has never been in Rose's life. Her mom is all about the job, and Rose can't seem to get past that.

What I didn't like-

1) The lodge! The fact that this book didn't take place at the school, well honestly, sucked. Not to say it was terrible, because it wasn't. But I really just love the whole boarding school aspect. Even though this book was at the school in the beginning and end, I definitely hope we get to see it take place more at the school in the future books.  

2) Rose! Now don't get me wrong, she was still her badass self, which I loved. It's just that she seemed to be more annoying in the beginning and middle of this book and I kind of wanted to smack her a few times during it. HOWEVER, at the end she definitely became tolerable and I ended up loving the change in her!

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait to continue on with the series. Especially since I've heard the third and fourth books are the best! 

Book Review- The Fault In Our Stars

My Thoughts- There were so many amazing things about this novel. I want to mention that this was my first John Green read and I was not disappointed. I knew how much everyone loved this novel, and now I can see why. John Green writes in such a way that you can't help but fall in love with the story and the characters. I was so glad to have read this book, and to have made it my first John Green read.

What I Liked-
1) The characters. Oh my gosh, that was probably, if not the best, part of the book. Every character in this novel was absolutely amazing. From the main characters, Hazel and Augustus, to characters you didn't see much of, such as Monica and Gus's parents.

2) Issac! I mean how amazing was he? He was another character who went through so much, but still seemed to act strong. And the friendship that he and Augustus have was just absolutely amazing. And when Hazel joined, it just felt so right!

3) ROMANCE! The romance was just absolutely beautiful. It was so well written, that if you didn't fall in love with these characters...well then, I honestly have no words. Along with that, the relationship that developed felt so real. Not forced or rushed, just perfect! 

4) QUOTES!! There were so many amazing and wonderful quotes all throughout this book. I found myself putting a post it on quite a bit of pages while reading it.

What I Didn't Like-
1) Is it over? When I got to the very last page, I turned it expecting more. It didn't feel like it was the end. Now, I'm not saying I hated it, it just didn't feel like the end. However, I really did love those last few pages. They were so powerful.


 

Book Review- Anatomy of a Boyfriend

Before this all happened, the closest I'd ever come to getting physical with a guy was playing the board game Operation. Okay, so maybe that sounds pathetic, but it's not like there were any guys at my high school who I cared to share more than three words with, let alone my body.

Then I met Wes, a track star senior from across town. Maybe it was his soulful blue eyes, or maybe my hormones just started raging. Either way, I was hooked. And after a while, he was too. I couldn't believe how intense my feelings became, or the fact that I was seeing—and touching—parts of the body I'd only read about in my Gray's Anatomy textbook. You could say Wes and I experienced a lot of firsts together that spring. It was scary. It was fun. It was love.

And then came the fall.

Positives-
1) I loved that this book deals with all of the firsts. From the first kiss, to the first time, it goes through everything. 
2) I loved how Daria wasn't afraid to make sex a big part in this book, because lets be real here, MOST teens do have sex and what Dom was thinking is what a typical teenager thinks.
3) I really liked Doms best friend Amy(Ames). She was the not-afriad-to-say-what's-on-her-mind, I'm-going-to-put-it-all-out-there, type of person. Whenever she was in the book I just found myself laughing, and I loved it.
4) This new guy we met, Calvin, seems like a potentially awesome character. I want more of him!
5) I like how the book was set up, into parts. It really worked well for the formatting of this story.

Negatives-
1) The main character Dom(nickname), annoyed me to no end quite a bit and I just couldn't deal. In fact whenever I decided to put the book down and stop reading for the day it was because she did something that just irritated me and I was just "okay enough for today"
2) Dom kept worrying about Wes's dog, Jessica. It just seemed like she was jealous of the dog and it crept me out to the max. I mean really? The dog? 
3) She felt too dependent on Wes, and she has only been with him for a few months. That really got to me, and I couldn't stand it.

This book is more in the New Adult genre. It deals with pretty much everything a typical teenager deals with and it doesn't leave anything out. Overall this book was just an okay novel for me, but I am interested in checking out the next book, Anatomy of a Single Girl.

Positives-
1) I really enjoyed the idea for this story. Now I'm not a believer in love at first sight, however this story doesn't make you think that this could never happened. It was all chance, which makes it more realistic, in my opinion.

2) The characters in this story weren't bad. Although I've never dealt with what Hadley has, I could understand what she was going through. I could understand why she was so mad at her father, why she hasn't seen him in a year, and why she doesn't want to be there. Does that mean I necessarily agree with her, no, not really. It just means that I understand where she was coming from and as a reader, I feel that is an important part in this story and why I enjoyed it.

3) I really like the name Hadley! I don't  what it is about that name, but I just really like it and I do feel that, because of the name, I liked the main character just a bit more.

Negatives-
1) I found myself not fully invested in the story. I could just put it down and not worry about the characters, or what was going to happen next. As a reader, you really don't want to read those types of stories. You want something that will leave its mark on you. When you put it down you should be thinking, "what's going to happen next?" "will they end up together?" "will they find out the truth?" and at times I just didn't get that with this story.

2) Parts of the story, I felt, were unnecessary. This is self explanatory. Simply, I just felt as though some parts could have been cut out.

3) I'm not sure on how I feel with the ending! For me that ending didn't leave me feeling satisfied. Personally, I wanted to know more.

Overall I would  recommend this book. It was a quick read, very sweet, and something that I think you would enjoy!

My Thoughts-
For anyone who has read The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices, you know who Magnus Bane is. The Bane Chronicles follow Magnus in a bunch of short stories. Ten short stories(ebook) are being released (1 each month) and after all are released, they will be put into a physical copy for people to purchase. You can purchase the ebooks for $2.99.

What Really Happened In Peru consists of four shorter stories in this novella that tell of reasons why Magnus might have been banned from Peru. All of them are valid enough reasons. I really enjoyed this novella, and found myself laughing out loud at some parts, and just wanting to finish it at other parts. However, throughout the entire novella, I found myself loving Magnus even more, and just having a lot of fun with his character. Along with Magnus we also see Catarina Loss and Ragnor Fell, who I felt, added so much to the stories! I'm looking forward to the rest of the stories in this series, and I will definitely be picking up the paperback copy when it is released!

Overall, if you're a fan of Cassandra Clare, of The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, and most importantly Magnus, I would definitely recommend this book. You will enjoy it.
