Bout of Books 13- Mini Challenges

Bout of Books

Monday- 5/11/2015

Challenge- Bookish Survey!

The Questions:

1. How do you organize your shelves?
I like to keep series and authors together! I do have 1 shelf that contains all my favorite books, but other than that it's basically just wherever I fell like putting them.
2. What is one of your favorite book that’s not in one of your favorite genres?
I think I'm going to have to go with the Saga graphic novels. I recently read them, and I rarely read graphic novels. They're not really my thing, but I fell in love with these ones!
3. What is the last 5 star book you read?
That would have to be the graphic novel Saga, Vol. 3!
4. What book are you most excited to read during the read-a-thon?
I'm really looking forward to finishing The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I'm really enjoying it.
5. What book do you recommend the most?
As of recently, it has been The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien

Hello, Bout of Books-ers! Can you take a break from reading to think a little bit more about books? Once this week is done, you're going to need more to read, right? Last month I created a list of ten summer titles I'm looking forward toYour challenge is simple: create a list of titles you're looking forward to reading. They can be upcoming titles in a specific season, titles that have been on your shelves, it's up to you!

I decided to take these books right from my shelves since I have to many unread books as is.
  1) Eon- Allsion Goodman because this book has been on my shelf way to long.

3) A Game of Thrones- George R.R. Martin because I REALLY, REALLY, want o read this book.
4) Lola and the Boy Next Door- Stephanie Perkins because I really think this would be a perfect read for the summer!
5) Finnikin of the Rock- Melina Marchetta because I've been dying to read another book by her. Jellicoe Road, the first book I read of hers, is one of my absolute favorites. So I can't wait to start her other novels.

Bout of Books 9.0- Mini Challenges

Mini Challenge 1- Book Buying Spree Challenge!
MONDAY CHALLENGE

Mini Challenge 2- Reading Tactics hosted by Sarah Says Read

Q: How do you fit in as much reading as possible during Bout of Books? How do you squeeze in those extra pages?

My Answer: I make sure to turn my tv off at night so I’m not tempted and lay in bed. I also make sure my room is dark, the only thing on is a reading light (or if I’m on my e-reader it’s easier) because for me, I can focus better that way, and it just lets me focus on the story! Then let the reading begin!

Mini Challenge 4- Found Poem
The book used to create this poem was Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse.

My Words- Black, there, her, down, said, I, mean, go, with, in, silent, dreams, once, sighed

Go, in silent down there- said her.
I sighed with,
Once, mean black dreams.

Monday[Jan 6th]
Number of pages read- 76
Total number of books completed- 0

Challenges Complete- Book Buying Spree
Thoughts- I read for about an hour when midnight hit before I feel asleep. I didn't get much reading completed in that time. I guess you can say, I'm kind of an average reader. I don't read really fast or really slow. I brought my e-reader with me throughout the day so when I had time I would open it up and read a bit. I was able to read 76 pages. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but for me it is since for the last few weeks I've only been reading about 20 pages a day.
