This week’s question:
Q: Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?
House of Night by P.C and Kristen Cast and Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick are two that come to my mind. I have no intention on finishing either of those series. Another is The Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith, although I do love the TV show. It's one of my favorites!
I've heard both of these a lot this week. I doubt I'll ever read House of Night but I do have Hush, Hush on my kindle. Kind of afraid, now. :D Following via GFC and Linky. :D Happy Friday! :D

If you already have it on your Kindle, I would try it. It wasn't a terrible book, it just didn't grab me enough to continue! Thanks for stopping by, I followed back :)
DeleteI picked House of Night too.. SNORE. It just started getting the plot line WAY out there!!

It definitely was!
DeleteSorry to hear you didn't like Hush Hush. I haven't read the Vampire Diaries and I'm still trying to catch up on the TV show.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I'm following you back via GFC.

The show, in my opinion, is better :)
DeleteA lot of people seem to have broken up with House of Night - guess I won't be starting that one! I haven't read Vampire Diaries, but I do love the tv show :)

The show, in my opinion, is better!
DeleteI think I could have enjoyed the books if I didn't watch the show first.
I quit Hush Hush and House of Night too, they became too boring:( Old follower.

I just couldn't get into the books for some reason!
DeleteNow following you back via GFC :)
*screams loudly because we had the same answer*
ReplyDeleteBasically I gave up on the Vampire Diaries too. I love the TV series to bits, and review it on my blog regularly (well until the HIATUS D:) I just thought that the book series was a bit repetitive and after a while it got a bit ridiculous, so I stopped.
Another series that I dumped, while I didn't include it in my FF post, is the HoN series. :)))))))) I can't bring myself to read the newest book, So i guess I've dumped it. I finished Hush, hush, though. It was weird and cliched and I don't know how to react to the weird-as-heck ending, so I can totally see why you'd dump the series. I'd dump the series if I hadn't already finished it (heh).

HOLY!! Exact same answers!!
DeleteI just recently got season 3 of TVD on DVD because it was on sale for $15. I was a bit too excited :)
Hahaa HoN has too many books in my opinion!
I'm seeing a lot of Hush Hush today! And I do agree with Hush Hush. I don't know what the hype was all about a couple years ago. Thanks for stopping by my blog, following back :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I ended up checking Hush Hush out from my library a fews years ago and I only thought it was okay. Too much hype!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and following back :)
Awe, sorry to hear you didn't enjoy those books. I haven't read Hush Hush yet but I've been seeing that a lot on the hop this week, now I'm not sure if I should read it. :\
ReplyDeleteFollowed back! :)
The first book isn't terrible. It just didn't really grab my attention enough for me to continue on. However, if you do decide to read it, I would recommend checking it out from the library or borrowing it from a friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for following back :)
I'm thinking that five Molly Moon books is enough for my library. I read them all, but they are waning in popularity and I can't justify purchasing the 6th!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way with some series. Just can't justify purchasing the last book.
DeleteI could never read "The Vampire Diaries" books. I just found the writing...I just couldn't do it. However, the show is a favorite. I want season four to come out on DVD already!! Then I can marathon!
ReplyDeleteI followed you back! Thank you for stopping by Vicariously! I hope you had a great day. I can't wait to see how your blog grows!
I definitely understand what you mean. I enjoyed Season 4. I'm excited for Season 4 to come out on DVD and then I can do a Vampire Diaries marathon as well!! I'm the ONLY one in my house that likes the show!!
DeleteThank you for the support :)
Ohh! I love Hush Hush. And I liked House of Night. I get why you dropped it. But I enjoyed reading it. ;) Thanks for dropping by my FF. New GFC follower.

Thank you:)
DeletePersonally, I just felt as though the HoN series dragged on. I know people who absolutely loved Hush, Hush. Unfortunately I'm not one of them, although I wish I was!
I HATE the vampire diaries, most the new ones are not even L.J Smith. They fired her and hired a ghost writer. I loved the first ones, but they got really stupid in the end. I am a new follower!

I know the Stefan's Diaries are by ghost writers. I bought the first one, not knowing that. I still haven't read it. Kind of been putting it off.
