Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop that is designed to
provide some much-appreciated exposure to the bloggers participating,
and to expand their following. Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, each of whom feature a chosen blog for the week, it's an interesting way to get to know one another.
Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback etc?
Personally I don't really have a preference. Usually I go for paperbacks because they're cheaper, but if I find a hardback for a good deal I will pick it up. However, since I got my ereader, I usually only purchase physical copy books if I already read and absolutely loved it, if I know I'm really going to enjoy it, or if it's a continuation of a series with books I already own. I read ebooks if they're in sale, usually $3.99 or less, or if it's a book I'm not sure I will like or not.
To sum up what I said, pretty much it depends on the price of the book.
I guess price is the make or break.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm following back :)
haha it is :)
DeleteThank you!!
I like both formats. But you are right, eBooks are usually cheaper than paperbacks.

That's why I enjoy reading ebooks!!
DeleteThank You :)
Yep, e-books always have such good prices! Especially when they are on sale for 3.99 or less :) (But then I just buy a whole bunch of the sale e-books!) Thanks for stopping by, I am following back!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with buying a ton of cheap ebooks! Kind of a down fall there, but with the deals, how can you not!!
DeleteThank you for following :)
I love cheaper ebooks, and when they go on sale! I don't really have a preference either, but price is always a factor in my decision process, too!
ReplyDeleteNew follower on Bloglovin!
Definitely. I think that's why ebooks are popular.
DeleteThanks for following! I'm now following back via Bloglovin :)
Hopping through. I prefer hardcovers but I'm cheap, so I won't buy a hardcover unless I'm sure I'll like the book.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
I definitely agree with that!
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Right you are! The price of the book does matter. Hardcovers look nice on the shelf but paperbacks and e-books are way too easy.

My Feature & Follow Friday post!
We’d highly appreciate a GFC follow back since we’re very close to reaching 500 followers there.
Thank you, happy reading, happy Friday and have a great weekend!
Sarika @ The Readdicts
Exactly! I usually get hardback if I know I'm absolutely going to love them. Or if it's a book I've been dying to read and it's only in hardback!
DeleteThanks for following. I'm following back via GFC :) Congrats on passing 500!!
New reader! :) I love your blog. http://a-bookaholic-reader.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you :)Following you via GFC!!
DeleteHappy Friday! I prefer reading paperbacks. I love the feel of real pages in my hand. I read eBooks sometimes, though. I think they're always faster to finish and you can easily highlight the passages you like.
ReplyDeleteNew Bloglovin follower.

Happy Reading! :)
I love that about the ereaders. If I need to look up a word, all I got to do is highlight it. So much easier :)
DeleteThanks for following :) Following you via Bloglovin!!
Price definitely influences my book-buying habits, which is why I find myself buying more ebooks these days.

Emma @ From the Writer’s Nest
I purchased a bunch of physical copy books during June, but most of the time I go for ebooks because of the price!
DeleteThanks for the follow! I'm now following you via Bloglovin :)
price also influences my book habits. usually i buy books that are $3 or less at a used book store, but then if i find a free ebook that sounds good, ill download that. I don't think I've ever paid for an ebook before.

also, new follower :)
DeleteI love going to used stores looking for books. Sometime you find great deals :)

Very true... price matters.

Yes, it does!!

I choose the PB too. They're cheaper and more convenient. Althugh If I had the choice, I'd change them all to hard covers.

Hahaa hardcovers are expensive, but they look SO good on the shelves :)
DeleteI try to take advantage of every book deal I can find (well, only if I actually want the book), so I often times buy ebooks that are really inexpensive.
ReplyDeleteNew follower. :)
Thanks for dropping by my post.
Hey the cheaper the books, the better(sometimes) hahaa
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I am following you too.

DeleteHi from new follower Jodie @ Aussie Bookworm
ReplyDeleteHello :) Thanks following!!
DeleteThat's why I go to the library! XD
ReplyDeleteOld follower! :)
Library is the best option :)
DeletePrice does make a difference! My rule for ebooks is typically 2.99 or less. Unless I really want the book and can't afford the hardback. That is rare though.
ReplyDeleteHere is my FF.
I definitely agree. They're so many cheap ebooks that people can get!!
DeleteTotally right about that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my FF.

ReplyDeleteMy Friday Meme
Hahaa I guess we can use the saying "great minds think alike" but change minds to names. "Great names think alike" :)
DeleteI'm now following you :)
I just put this philosophy into action and saved $10! Bought the ebook for $0.99 instead of the print for $11.19 and I didn't regret it. Occasionally I impulse buy a hardcover though to treat myself! :) Thanks for stopping by my FF, I'm following back.
ReplyDeleteGreat thinking. I've definitely been through the impulse buy. However buying a hardcover as a treat for yourself is absolutely necessary :)
