Reading

Lately I just haven't felt much like reading.
I don't know why. They're so many great books on my self that I need to read but I just haven't felt the urge to read them. Books like: Delirium by Lauren Oliver, Fearless by Francine Pascal, Eon by Alison Goodman and so many others. Hopefully I can get out of this "mood".
Have you guys ever felt like this? Because I'm positive I'm not the only one.
Let me know what you do when this sort of "mood" happens to you.

  1. Yeah I know that feeling all to well. When I'm in the "mood" to not read, I put on some music that sets the mood or tone -- music without lyrics. The same with writing, however, with writing I watch a movie in the same genre. So try some music and put it on loop. Maybe that will help.

    1. That's interesting!! Thanks for the advice.
I'm kind of the opposite though because for me I need absolute silence to read or write because I get distracted way too easily. Always been a downfall of mine. haha.

  2. Maybe try eating some ice cream while reading... Ice cream solves everything. It helps me when I read and write. I hope you find something that helps. Oh and keep writing. And if you decide to get published, you have my word, I'll buy a book. Cheers.

  4. Ha I love ice cream. And you're welcome -- I'm sure you'll do well with your first novel.

  5. I've been in moods like this before. I'm in one now, but there are extenuating circumstances. You kind of have to force yourself to read even though you don't really want to. You can try something really light and fluffy and easy to read and that might spur you to read even more.

    1. I just started reading the 2nd Harry Potter book and I think it's putting me back in my reading "mood." So that's a great thing!!
